When Devils River Whiskey came to us in 2017, all they had was a bottle. No brand, no website, no social media pages, no Devils Advocates. They were available in one state, Texas. After conducting a consumer survey and collaborating with the Devils River Whiskey tribe, we developed their brand guidelines and introduced the ‘Sinfully Smooth Whiskey’ tagline. This was not only a catchy way to describe the whiskey itself, but also as a way to describe the brand as a whole and everything that is associated with it – from the river where the water is sourced, all the way down to the Devils Advocates that drink the end product.

Bold is one of Devils River Whiskey’s core values, and this is the approach we took with their brand design collateral. Using bold lettering with a rugged texture, we placed their tagline and brand message on magazine ads, sell sheets, case bins, the list goes on… Have you spotted the big bottles of Devils River Whiskey on billboards while driving down I-35? They’re pretty damn hard to miss.
Through our comprehensive digital marketing campaigns, we helped Devils River Whiskey grow into one of the fastest growing Texas craft whiskeys of all time. We developed goal oriented social media strategies that grew the audience to over 100,000 followers and helped expand product distribution into 29 states across the US.
As the years went by, we transformed their branding into a more lifestyle-oriented brand for the rugged individuals all across the country who love exploring, being outdoors and sipping on sinfully smooth whiskey. From bandanas and t-shirt designs to, there’s a piece of swag for every kind of Devils Advocate.
