As an entrepreneur, you must always keep in mind that the success of your business is a result of the details you pay attention to, but if you’re an entrepreneur, we are sure you are always in search of saving a pretty penny. We have compiled a list of our five favorites, free digital marketing tools that are all about the details, and here’s exactly why you should be taking advantage of them.

1. Google Analytics

What it’s used for: Analyzing website traffic, extracting valuable details regarding who your website audience is, tracking google ad performance, and retargeting website visitors with ads. The data this free digital marketing tool offers will help you narrow in on who exactly your target audience is, when they’re most active, when you should place a higher bid on your google ads, and it gives you an audience to retarget advertisements to in hopes that you can push them further down the sales funnel.

Learn how to make the most of it: Google Academy offers free courses and certifications for learning how to use Google Analytics. Courses range from beginner to advanced users.

2. Hot Jar

What it’s used for: While Google Analytics may tell you more about your audience and how they got to your website, Hot Jar records and tracks how website visitors interact with your website so you can narrow down what may be making them buy or leave. Get an objective look at the journey users are taking on your site, what they are interacting with most, and where they drop off. This gives insight into what your audience finds most valuable on your website and what you should probably get rid of.

3. Canva

What it’s used for: Not ready to partner with Tribu to take your digital marketing designs to the next level? Canva is a great tool for creating beautiful graphic designs for presentations, flyers, social media posts, and much more. They even have templated designs to help guide you so you don’t need much experience! These capabilities allow you to create clear and concise brand imagery that you can share with the digital world.

4. Google My Business

What it’s used for: If you are a local business, updating your Google My Business is a wonderful free tool to leverage that will help you stand out from the competition. Its capabilities are now much greater than a simple address listing and reviews, think social media profile but directly on Google. Now you can list store promotions, business updates, have a direct “Book An Appointment” link, promote great blogs, offer a Q&A section for customers to inquire publically, and much more. Google will also send you analytics on the views of your Google My Business listing.

Learn how to make the most of it: Unfortunately, Google doesn’t currently offer video tutorials on Google My Business, but here is a wonderful free guide to using Google My Business by SEMrush.

5. Mailchimp

What it’s used for: Lead nurturing doesn’t end once a customer has purchased from you. It costs you 5x more to gain a new customer than it does to keep an existing one coming back. Mailchimp is a mass email platform that provides you with the tools you need to maintain the communication necessary to keep existing customers coming back. The number of newsletters you should send out varies from business to business, so do some research and test what’s right for your business, but one thing is for sure – putting special offers and content that your audience might want to share directly in their inbox will definitely have a positive impact on your business’ growth, both digitally and financially.

Learn how to make the most of it: Here’s a little Mailchimp 101 from the Chimp himself.

We hope these tools will help you get started in managing a solid start-up marketing strategy. When you’re ready to take it to the next level, call us and we will catapult your business into a new stage of marketing and business success.
